Bohermore (Irish: An Bóthar Mór, meaning "The Big Road") is an area of Galway, Ireland. It got this name as it was the main road into Galway City from the east in medieval times.
There is a large cemetery located in Bohermore known as the "New Cemetery", which contains two mortuary chapels, one Catholic and the other Protestant. People buried there include the Irish-language writer and journalist Pádraic Ó Conaire (1882-1928), Lord Haw Haw (William Joyce) (1906-1946), an Irish-American who broadcast Nazi propaganda from Germany during World War II, and Lady Gregory (1852-1932), a founding member of the Irish Literary Theatre movement, who hosted a literary and artistic salon in her house at Coole Park, in rural south Galway.

Moycullen (Irish: Maigh Cuilinn) is a Gaeltacht village in County Galway, Ireland, about 10 km (7 mi) northwest of Galway city. It is near Lough Corrib, on the N59 road to Oughterard and Clifden, in Connemara.
Moycullen is now a satellite town of Galway with some residents commuting to the city for work, school, and business.

County Galway ( GAWL-way; Irish: Contae na Gaillimhe) is a county in Ireland. It is in the West of Ireland, taking up the south of the province of Connacht.
There are several Irish-speaking areas in the west of the county. The traditional county includes, and is named for, the city of Galway, but the city and county now have separate local authorities: Galway City Council administers the urban area, while the rest of the county is administered by Galway County Council.
The population of the county was 258,058 at the 2016 census.

Bearna (anglicised as Barna) is a coastal village in Connemara, west of Galway city in County Galway, Ireland, on the R336 regional road. Once a satellite of Galway city, the village is now rapidly becoming one of its suburbs. Officially, the village is regarded as Irish speaking and is therefore a constituent part of the regions of Ireland that make up the Gaeltacht. However, because of its absorption into the city, it has recently become a mainly English-speaking village. Nonetheless, Irish is still the main language of its western and northern hinterland and the village has now effectively become the gateway to the largest Irish-speaking region in the country.To try to control the major development which has been undertaken in recent years, a very strongly supported local action group has been set up (Pobal Bhearna). In 1976 a community development group called Comharchumann Bearna Teo was formed after five local men put up the purchase money for 2 acres (8,100 m2) at Troscaigh Thiar to be used for community purposes and has succeeded in developing several recreational facilities.
