Porterstown station is a proposed transport interchange intended for the Porterstown area of Dublin. The intended station would form an interchange between heavy rail services operated by Iarnród Éireann and light rail operations on the planned Dublin Metro's Metro West line.The station would serve areas of Blanchardstown, Clonsilla and Carpenterstown. The heavy rail station would be located on the Maynooth Line and would have Commuter services operating to Mullingar and Navan from both Dublin Connolly and Docklands, as well as high frequency DART services. 
The Dublin Metro is a proposed light rail operation, with the station intended to be built on an elevated section over the railway line and adjacent Royal Canal. The Metro West line was indefinitely postponed in late 2011, as no capital funding is available.

Dartry (Irish: Dartraí) is a small suburb of Dublin, Ireland, often seen as part of the broad Rathmines area. Among the locations in Dartry are Dartry Road, Temple Road, Orwell Park and Palmerston Park.

Portobello (Irish: Cuan Aoibhinn – meaning 'beautiful harbour') is an area of Dublin located in the South City Centre, bounded to the south by the Grand Canal.
Portobello came into existence as a small suburb south of the city of Dublin in the 18th century, centred on Richmond St. During the following century it was completely developed, transforming an area of private estates and farmland into solid Victorian red-bricked living quarters for the middle classes (on the larger streets), and terraced housing bordering the canal for the working classes.
As a fast-expanding suburb during the 19th century Portobello attracted many upwardly-mobile families whose members went on to play important roles in politics, the arts and the sciences. Towards the end of the century came an influx of Jews, refugees from pogroms in Eastern Europe, which gave the name "Little Jerusalem" to the area.
It is in the postal district of Dublin 8. It is in the local government electoral area of Dublin South East Inner City and the Dáil Constituency of Dublin Bay South.

County Dublin (Irish: Contae Bhaile Átha Cliath or Contae Átha Cliath) is one of the thirty-two traditional counties of Ireland. Prior to 1994 it was also an administrative county covering the whole county outside of Dublin City Council. In 1994, as part of a reorganisation of local government within Dublin the boundaries of Dublin City were redrawn, Dublin County Council was abolished and three new administrative county councils were established: Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown, Fingal and South Dublin.
While it is no longer used as an administrative division for local government, it retains a strong identity in popular culture. Finglas (; Irish: Fionnghlas, meaning "clear streamlet") is a northwestern outer suburb of Dublin, Ireland.  It lies close to Junction 5 of the M50 motorway, and the N2 road. Nearby suburbs include Glasnevin and Ballymun; Dublin Airport is 7 km to the north. Finglas lies mainly in the postal district of Dublin 11.
Finglas is the core of a civil parish in the barony of Castleknock.
